Train travel from London to Windsor to Edinburgh

Exploring Windsor and Edinburgh by Train

I’m considering checking out of the hotel on Sunday morning and taking the train from Waterloo to Windsor. I plan to spend 2-3 hours there before heading to Edinburgh.

Since we’ll have our luggage with us, is it possible to leave it at the train station while we explore the castle?

  1. That sounds like a great plan! Yes, you can definitely leave your luggage at the train station while you explore Windsor. Windsor & Eton Central Station has luggage storage facilities where you can store your bags securely for a few hours.

After you finish your visit, you can easily catch a train from Windsor to Edinburgh. You’ll need to first travel back to London, as there are no direct trains from Windsor to Edinburgh. You can catch a train from Windsor to London Waterloo, and then take the train from either King’s Cross or Edinburgh Waverley to complete your journey.

Make sure to check the train schedules in advance to make the most of your time in Windsor and plan for the connection times. Enjoy your trip!
