Exploring London on a Sunday Morning

Hello everyone!

I’m heading to London and will be arriving at Victoria Coach Station at 6 AM this Sunday. I’m looking for recommendations for things to do at that early hour. Are there any flea markets open at that time, or perhaps some unique spots I should check out?

UPDATE: Just to clarify, this isn’t my first early morning visit—I’ve already explored a bit of the area before. This time, I’d love to discover something new!

  1. Hi!

Great to hear you’re heading to London! Since you’re looking for something different this time, here are a few suggestions you might enjoy:

    1. St. James’s Park: Just a short walk from Victoria, St. James’s Park is beautiful in the morning, with lovely views of Buckingham Palace and the opportunity to see some wildlife, like ducks and pelicans!

    2. Walk along Southbank: Head over to the Southbank and enjoy a peaceful walk along the River Thames. The area is usually quieter in the early morning, and you can take in views of iconic landmarks like the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.

    3. Borough Market: While the market itself opens around 10am on Sundays, you can explore the surrounding area, grab some coffee, and watch the hustle and bustle as vendors set up.

    4. Sky Garden: If you want a stunning view of the city, consider visiting the Sky Garden. It opens at 10am on Sundays, so you could head there right after it opens for a beautiful view while sipping your morning coffee.

    5. Explore little-known neighborhoods: Take some time to wander through areas like Notting Hill or Shoreditch, where you can appreciate the unique architecture, vibrant street art, and charming cafes.

    6. Visit a museum or gallery: Many of London’s museums and galleries open around 10am. If you’re interested, the National Gallery or the Tate Modern are great choices!

If you’re still looking for something that’s open early on Sundays, consider checking out some local cafés for breakfast—many places in London open early and offer a great atmosphere to start your day.

Hope you have a great time in London!
