90 mins enough time at Stansted?

Is 90 Minutes Enough Time at Stansted?
Hi everyone,
I’m planning my first trip to Stansted Airport and wanted to get some insights. While I know travel times can vary, I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether 90 minutes is sufficient.
I found a fairly affordable train option (I’m not a fan of our rail system) that arrives at Stansted 90 minutes before my Ryanair flight departs. Since we’re only traveling with hand luggage and will check in online in advance, I’m considering opting for fast track security, which really helped speed things up for me at Birmingham.
This flight will most likely be on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon in early May, so any feedback from regular travelers would be greatly appreciated!
I’m particularly curious about how long it usually takes to get from the train station to security. Thanks for your help!
90 minutes should be enough time for your Ryanair flight at Stansted, especially since you only have hand luggage and will check in online. Fast track security is definitely a good idea, as it can save you quite a bit of time.
Usually, the train arrives at the terminal, and you can access security quite quickly. Typically, it takes around 5-10 minutes to walk from the train station to the security area. Depending on how busy it is on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon in early May, security lines can vary, but the fast track option usually helps you get through faster.
Keep an eye on the time, and if you feel like you’re cutting it close, you might want to speed up a little bit, but in general, 90 minutes should be sufficient. Safe travels!
