Checking In baggage at STN

Hello everyone!
I’ll be deadheading to my base with a connection at Stansted and need to check in a few bags since it’s staff travel. With a 7-hour layover, I’d love to take a quick trip to London for a bite to eat and a short stroll.
Can I check in my bags at any time, like I can in Bergamo, or does the check-in only open 2 hours before departure?

Hi! At Stansted, check-in for your flight typically opens about 2-3 hours before departure, similar to many other airports. Unfortunately, you usually can’t check in your bags earlier than that, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to head into London.
With a 7-hour layover, you should have enough time to grab a meal and take a quick walk around, but just make sure to get back to the airport with enough time to check in and go through security. Have a great trip!
