My friend arrives at Heathrow two hours after me, and I plan to wait for him at the airport. Do you have any recommendations on where to wait? Are there any lounges available in the arrivals terminal? Would it be better to wait before customs, or should I go through customs first and then wait for him?
At Heathrow, the Arrivals Lounge is a great option if you want to relax while waiting for your friend. However, keep in mind that these lounges are typically accessible only to business class passengers or frequent flyers, so check if you or your friend have access.
If you don’t have lounge access, I would recommend going through customs first. Once you clear customs, you’ll be able to wait for your friend in the arrivals area, where there are seating options and places to grab a coffee or snack. This way, you’ll be there to greet him as soon as he arrives.
There are also plenty of shops and restaurants in the arrivals area where you can pass the time. Just make sure to check the flight status while you wait, so you’re aware of any delays. Safe travels!
