LHR fast track 1hr before flight?

LHR Fast Track Question: Is it enough time?
I’m flying out of Terminal 3 and bought the fast track option without realizing it only opens at 6 AM, while my flight is at 7:05 AM. Do I have enough time to make my flight?
I also plan to grab a bite after going through security. Will that take too long, putting me at risk of missing my flight?
Should I just go through regular security and arrive earlier instead, even though I paid £12.50 for the fast track? I don’t have any checked luggage, and I’m flying within Europe. Thanks for your help!
It’s definitely tight to rely on fast track just one hour before your flight. If you arrive at Terminal 3 at 6am, you may have enough time for fast track security, but you’ll want to move quickly. Fast track can save you some time, but security lines can still be unpredictable.
Since you also want to grab food after security, that could take additional time. If you’re only flying within Europe and have no checked luggage, you should ideally be through security and at your gate at least 30-45 minutes prior to departure.
If you feel anxious about timing, it might be wise to get to the airport a bit earlier and skip the fast track, especially since you’ve already paid £12.50. This way, you can ensure you have plenty of time to clear security and enjoy something to eat without rushing.
Ultimately, if fast track is open and the lines are manageable, you might be okay, but having a backup plan is always a good idea! Safe travels!
