Confused with tapping in-out Elizabeth line to Thameslink line

Clarification Needed on Tapping In/Out for Elizabeth Line and Thameslink
Hello! I’m traveling from Stratford to Farringdon on the Elizabeth Line and then heading to Cambridge on the Thameslink. I have a separate ticket for the Thameslink journey. Do I need to tap out at the gates at Farringdon to avoid being overcharged, or is there a different reader for me to use? I’m quite confused about the process. Thanks for your help!
Hi! I can help clarify that for you. When traveling on the Elizabeth Line from Stratford to Farringdon, you will need to tap out at the Farringdon station gates since it’s a separate journey from the Thameslink service to Cambridge.
Once you tap out, you can then proceed to the Thameslink platform. Make sure to have your separate ticket ready for inspection if needed. There is no additional reader for you to tap for the Thameslink journey; just make sure your ticket is valid for that part of your trip. Hope that helps, and enjoy your journey!
