Exploring Hidden London Underground Tours

Has anyone here experienced the Hidden London tours offered by the London Transport Museum?

I’m considering booking the “Aldwych: The End of the Line” tour but have come across some mixed reviews.

If you’ve participated in that tour or any others, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Would you recommend them?

Thanks in advance!

  1. I’ve been on the “Aldwych: The End of the Line” tour, and I highly recommend it! The history of the station and its use during WWII is fascinating. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared some interesting stories and anecdotes that really brought the place to life.

That said, the tour has some mixed reviews because it can be quite short (around 90 minutes) and doesn’t cover as much as some people expect. If you love history and are interested in the underground’s unique past, it’s definitely worth it.

I’ve also done a couple of the other Hidden London tours, like the “Down Street” tour, which delves into a similar theme of abandoned or lesser-known stations. Each tour has its own charm and offers a unique perspective on London’s transport history.

Overall, if you’re curious about the underground and enjoy exploring off-the-beaten-path locations, you’ll likely have a great time! Just set your expectations accordingly. Enjoy!
