Lost Suitcase on National Express
I accidentally left my suitcase in the luggage hold while taking the National Express coach from Stansted Airport to Stratford (Westfield). Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it was missing until after the office had closed. I submitted a lost property form the same day and have researched if any contractors operate on that route, as well as their depot locations. However, it turns out that National Express is the one that runs this route. I’ve tried contacting the office for updates and have looked up similar situations online where people usually manage to get their belongings back. However, it’s been over 48 hours, and I’m starting to lose hope that my suitcase will be found. In the future, I plan to invest in a duffel bag with an AirTag, but that doesn’t help me now.
I’m sorry to hear about your lost suitcase. That must be really stressful, especially when you’re trying to get updates and haven’t heard anything yet. It sounds like you’ve done everything you can so far by submitting the lost property form and trying to reach out for information. Sometimes it can take a bit longer for belongings to be processed, especially if they’re still being collected or if there are a lot of items to go through.
It’s a good idea to keep checking in with National Express and maybe give them a call again in a day or two if you haven’t heard back. They might not have any updates right away, but keeping in touch can help keep your case on their radar. Also, consider checking in with local transport offices or stations near Stratford; sometimes lost items are turned in to them as well.
In the meantime, make a list of the items that were in your suitcase, just in case it turns up. And I totally understand wanting to be more prepared next time with an AirTag! Fingers crossed you hear something positive soon!
