Premier Inns Booking Issue with Foreign Credit Card?

Subject: Booking Trouble with Premier Inn Using Foreign Credit Card?
Hello everyone,
Has anyone encountered difficulties when trying to book a room at Premier Inn using a credit card from the US or Canada?
I’ve attempted to make a reservation with a MasterCard, Visa, and Amex, but keep receiving the error message:
“Oops – something went wrong! Please try again or choose another way to pay.”
I’m uncertain whether my card is being declined or if there’s an issue with the website itself.
I also noticed that the address entry format seems off for North American standards.
Although I received the OTP/MasterCard verification without any problems, my card is still being rejected on the booking site.
Does anyone have any suggestions or insights?
Thanks in advance!
Hi there,
I can understand how frustrating that must be! Here are a few suggestions you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Card Settings: Make sure that your credit card is set up for international transactions. Sometimes, you need to notify your bank that you’ll be using the card abroad to avoid security blocks.
Region Settings: If the website has a region selection option, try switching it to the US or Canada. This may help align the address formats with your card details.
Use a Different Browser or Clear Cache: Sometimes, browser issues can cause glitches. Try clearing your cache or using a different browser to complete the booking.
Contact Customer Support: If the problem persists, I would recommend reaching out to Premier Inn’s customer support. They might have insights into known issues or can assist with your booking.
Consider Bookings through Third-Party Websites: If it’s still not working, you might try booking through a third-party website like Booking.com or Expedia, which often accept more payment options.
I hope this helps, and you can get your stay sorted out soon! Good luck!
