Travel ideas for UK and Iceland

Travel Inspiration for the UK and Iceland
My husband and I are planning a two-week adventure in the UK this October, and we’re excited to explore! In our 30s and open to anything, we definitely want to visit London and Scotland, but we’re looking for recommendations on other must-see attractions and experiences. If this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, what are the highlights we shouldn’t miss? Are there any other locations in the UK we should consider?
Additionally, we’re thinking about making a stop in Iceland on our way back to the US. Has anyone here had experience with this? We’re considering a two-night stay to check out the Golden Circle and catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Is it worth the extra time and expense for just a day in Iceland? Would love to hear your thoughts!
