Can I travel from NYC to London with pending ETA applications?

I wasn’t aware that my girlfriend and I needed ETA forms to enter the UK, as I’ve traveled there multiple times before but not since this new requirement came into effect. We submitted the forms on Wednesday morning EST and plan to arrive around 7 AM UK time on Friday. If we haven’t received confirmation by then, will we be denied entry?

UPDATE: I realized that the website I initially used was a scam. I got a refund, and after using the official app, I received approval within just 5 minutes. Thank you all for your assistance!

  1. I’m glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue and get your ETA approved quickly! Just to clarify for others who might be in a similar situation: it’s essential to ensure that you have confirmed approval for your ETA before traveling to the UK, as traveling without it could result in being denied entry. Always use official government websites or trusted apps to ensure your application is processed correctly. Safe travels to you and your girlfriend!
