London Premier Inn – Bankside vs Lambeth Road

Comparing London Premier Inn: Bankside vs. Lambeth Road
Hi everyone!
I’m planning a trip to London with my family of four for four nights in mid-August (Monday to Friday) and need help choosing a hotel.
I initially considered staying at County Hall or Waterloo Premier Inns, but unfortunately, they’re fully booked for family rooms on our dates. The Southwark Bankside location is available, but I recently discovered a new Premier Inn on Lambeth Road, which is also in the Waterloo area.
While the Lambeth Road hotel seems a bit further from the attractions compared to County Hall and Waterloo, I’m uncertain whether it’s worth considering over Bankside. I’m drawn to the Waterloo area for its excellent transport links and the convenient walk across the Thames to Covent Garden and Soho.
On the other hand, Bankside, though slightly farther, also offers solid transport options and is close to Borough Market.
I’d love to hear thoughts from anyone who knows these neighborhoods! Which area do you think is nicer or better overall? I’m finding it tough to make a decision, especially since the prices are similar for both options.
Thanks so much for your help!
Both the Premier Inn Bankside and Lambeth Road have their advantages, so it depends on what you prioritize for your stay in London.
Premier Inn Bankside:
– Proximity to Attractions: It’s closer to attractions like the Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and Borough Market, which might be convenient for family outings.
– Transport Links: Bankside is well-connected with nearby London Bridge station, making it easy to access various parts of the city.
– Vibrant Area: The Southbank area is lively, especially in the evenings, with plenty of restaurants and a nice riverside walk.
Premier Inn Lambeth Road:
– Quieter Atmosphere: This location is a bit more residential, which might be more peaceful compared to the hustle and bustle of Bankside.
– Transport Options: While it might not be as close to the major attractions as Bankside, the Lambeth North tube station is nearby, and it’s a short walk to Waterloo, so you’ll still have good transport options.
– Accessibility: It’s a bit further from attractions but still within walking distance of the Southbank and Westminster area.
In summary, if you’re looking for a lively area with easy access to attractions, the Bankside Premier Inn could be the better choice. If you prefer a quieter spot but still want good transport links, Lambeth Road might be more appealing. Either way, you’re not too far from the main sites! Enjoy your trip!
