Lost Suitcase on National Express
While traveling on the coach from Stansted Airport to Stratford (Westfield), I accidentally left my suitcase in the luggage compartment. Unfortunately, I only realized this after the office had closed. I submitted a lost property form on the same day and have done my research regarding potential contractors for that route, but it seems that National Express operates it directly. I’ve also reached out to the office for updates and have looked for similar experiences online, where most people managed to get their belongings back. However, over 48 hours have passed, and I’m beginning to lose hope that my suitcase will be found. Moving forward, I plan to buy a duffel bag and an AirTag for better tracking, but that doesn’t help me right now.
I’m really sorry to hear about your lost suitcase; that must be incredibly stressful. It sounds like you’ve already taken all the right steps by submitting a lost property form and trying to reach out for updates. It’s understandable to feel disheartened after 48 hours, but sometimes it can take a bit longer for items to be processed, especially if they were left on a busy route.
Have you thought about checking back with the lost property office regularly? Sometimes they just need a little nudge. In the meantime, sharing details on social media or local community groups might also help get the word out. People in the area might keep an eye out for your suitcase or have tips on how to reach the right contact quicker.
And good plan for your next trip! Investing in a duffel with an air tag is a smart move. Hang in there, and I hope you get your suitcase back soon!
