Private Meeting Room in London While Traveling

Seeking Private Meeting Space in London

Hello! I’ll be in London next week from the U.S. and am looking for a quiet, private space to hold a few meetings. Since I’m staying with a friend who has roommates, it’s not feasible to use her place. I’m hoping to find some affordable options.

I prefer the Shoreditch area but am open to traveling a little for the right venue. Also, I’ve noticed that many libraries in the U.S. require a local address or library card for access to services like meeting rooms—does the same apply in the U.K.?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

  1. Hi there! There are definitely several options for private meeting spaces in London that could work for you, especially in the Shoreditch area. Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Co-Working Spaces: Many co-working spaces, such as WeWork, Mindspace, or The Office Group, offer meeting rooms for rent by the hour. You can book a private room without needing a local membership. Just check their websites for locations in Shoreditch.

    2. Business Centers: Places like Regus or Spaces also have meeting rooms you can rent. They often have flexible booking options, so it’s worth checking out their websites for availability.

    3. Cafés with Private Rooms: Some cafés and bars in Shoreditch may have semi-private areas or larger tables that are quieter during the day. Check out places like The Office Group’s café or the nearby BrewDog, which can be relatively quiet and suitable for meetings.

    4. Libraries: While many public libraries in the UK do require a local address to access certain services, some private or community libraries may have meeting rooms available for rent without that requirement.

    5. Airbnb or Short-Term Rentals: You might also consider getting a small Airbnb or a similar rental for a couple of days that can double as a private workspace. Just search for listings that specifically mention a quiet space or office setup.

Make sure to book in advance, as availability can vary, especially if you’re going during a busy week. Good luck with your meetings!
