Best time to do free EasyJet check-in

Optimal Timing for EasyJet’s Free Check-In
I’m planning to complete the free check-in for my EasyJet flight, which is now just 29 days away. There are still plenty of seats available on the plane. My concern is whether EasyJet will automatically assign us decent seats or if they tend to give out the less desirable ones first (such as those at the back of the plane). If that’s the case, it might make sense to wait until closer to departure—while ensuring there are still enough seats available for us to sit together—before doing the free check-in. If anyone has insights or experiences with this, I would greatly appreciate your advice!
When it comes to EasyJet’s free check-in process, the seating allocation is generally done on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that if you check in as soon as the free check-in opens (which is typically 30 days before your flight), you’re likely to have access to a wider range of available seats, including more desirable ones.
If you wait until closer to your flight, there’s a risk that only the less favorable seats will be left, especially as the flight fills up. Since there are still plenty of seats available now, doing your check-in early could help you secure better seating and ensure that you can sit together with your travel companions.
Keep in mind that while EasyJet does not assign specific seats automatically, they do allow you to choose your preferred options when you check in, provided that they remain available. If you check in late, you may end up with separated seats or those that are less convenient. Based on your situation, I’d recommend checking in as soon as possible to maximize your seating choices!
