If you’re traveling to Cardiff by train, you’ll be arriving at Cardiff Central.
We’re planning to head to the Marriott, which seems quite nearby on the map. Do you have any suggestions for the best way to get there? Are there usually taxis available outside the train station?
Would it be possible to walk there? I usually prefer walking, but we will have luggage with us, and I’m not sure I want to roll it along the sidewalk for that distance, or if the path will even be smooth.

Cardiff Central Station is relatively close to the Marriott, but considering you have luggage, taking a taxi might be the most convenient option. There are usually taxis available outside the station, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding one.
If you decide to walk, it’s about a 15-20 minute stroll, depending on your pace. The route is straightforward, and while the sidewalks are generally decent, you might encounter some uneven surfaces. If your luggage is wheeled, it may be a bit of a hassle.
So, if you want to avoid any stress with your bags, just grab a taxi. Safe travels!
