Bath, Cotswolds, and Oxford Itinerary Help

My wife and I (Americans) are planning a quick 2-day trip west of London and would appreciate some advice on our itinerary. Here’s what we’ve got so far:

  1. Pick up a rental car at Heathrow at noon on day one.
  2. Overnight stay in Bath on the first evening.
  3. Overnight stay in Oxford on the second evening.
  4. Return the rental car at Heathrow at noon on day three.

We’re eager to explore the highlights of the Cotswolds while driving from Bath to Oxford on day two.

Do you have any recommendations for routes, must-see attractions, or places we should avoid in Bath, Oxford, or the Cotswolds?

Additionally, do you think it’s worth stopping at Stonehenge on the afternoon of day one on our way to Bath, or should we focus more on enjoying Bath itself?
