Hello all in late july-the beginning of august I’ll be in the UK can you help me a bit

Hello everyone!
I hope you’re doing well. I’ll be traveling to the UK from late July to early August and could use some assistance. I’ll spend a day in London and then head to Scotland for the rest of my two-week school-sponsored theatre trip, primarily based in Edinburgh.
I’m looking for recommendations on what type of suitcase to get that won’t exceed the 50-pound weight limit for flights. Any tips or advice on what to pack or prepare before my trip would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Hello! How exciting that you’ll be traveling to the UK for a theater trip! Here are some tips to help you with your suitcase and preparations:
Suitcase Choice: Look for a lightweight, durable suitcase or a well-structured backpack. Soft-sided suitcases can be easier to fit into tight spaces like overhead compartments and might weigh less than hard-shell ones. A suitcase that has wheels and a telescoping handle will make navigating through airports much easier!
Size and Weight: Aim for a suitcase around 22-24 inches, which is usually suitable for carry-ons and can hold plenty without exceeding the weight limit. Remember to weigh your suitcase empty before packing!
Packing Tips:
Wear Layers: The UK weather can be unpredictable. Pack layers, including lightweight jackets or sweaters, which can be worn or removed based on the temperature.
Travel Essentials:
Health Precautions: Make sure you’re up-to-date on any necessary vaccinations and have any medications you need.
Explore Local Culture: Since you will be in Edinburgh, take advantage of local theater performances and explore the historic sites. Have a list ready of places you want to visit in case you have free time.
Stay Connected: If you plan to use your phone, check your mobile plan for international coverage or consider getting a local SIM card to save on data roaming charges.
Safe travels and enjoy your trip! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
