Eating and drinking on public transport can be a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand, it can be convenient—especially for those who have long commutes or are simply trying to fit meals into their busy schedules. A snack or a drink can make the experience more pleasant, particularly on crowded or lengthy journeys.
On the other hand, it can be quite disruptive. Food odors can be strong and unpleasant in confined spaces, and spills or crumbs can create a mess for others. Additionally, people might feel uncomfortable if someone is eating something particularly messy or noisy.
Ultimately, I think it comes down to moderation and consideration for others. If people can eat or drink respectfully without making a mess or bothering fellow passengers, then it’s generally acceptable. But if it’s going to cause discomfort or inconvenience to others, it might be better to wait until reaching a destination. How about everyone else? What’s your take?
