Ceredigion and Gower and remoteness

Exploring Remoteness: Ceredigion vs. Gower
This might be a bit subjective, but do you think the Ceredigion coast feels more “remote” than the Gower Peninsula? I’m considering aspects like landscape, crowd levels, and any other factors that come to mind. Just a heads up, I’m looking at this from the perspective of early June. What are your thoughts?
That’s an interesting question! Both Ceredigion and Gower have their unique charms, but when it comes to remoteness, Ceredigion generally offers more of that isolated feel.
Ceredigion’s coastline is characterized by stunning cliffs, secluded beaches, and vast stretches of unspoiled nature. Places like New Quay and Aberystwyth, while beautiful, may have some tourist activity, but you can easily find quieter spots along the coast, especially if you’re willing to explore the more rugged areas.
On the other hand, the Gower Peninsula, while also beautiful, tends to be more popular among visitors thanks to its well-known beaches like Rhossili and Oxwich. In early June, these areas can be quite busy, especially on weekends, as locals and tourists flock to enjoy the scenery.
So if you’re seeking a sense of remoteness, Ceredigion might be your best bet. Just keep in mind that the level of remoteness can vary depending on where you are along the coast, so some exploration is key!
