I’m thrilled about my upcoming trip to Dublin, Cardiff, and London this summer!
We’ll be taking the Stena Line ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, scheduled to arrive at 13:35 on a Monday in June. We’re traveling on foot (without a car) and will have luggage with us.
We’re aiming for the 14:30 train from Holyhead station to Cardiff. Do you think we can make it? I understand it’s only a two-minute walk to the station. Are the ferries typically punctual? Also, will we need to go through any customs or immigration checks upon arrival? The website suggests arriving 30 minutes before the train departs, but if the ferry is on schedule and we disembark promptly, we should be fine.
There is another train two hours later, but we’d prefer not to wait if we can avoid it.
