Best way to get to Stansted Airport from Camden?

What’s the best way to get from Camden to Stansted Airport?
I apologize if this question seems naive; it’s my first time traveling! I have an 11:05 am flight on a weekday and need to get to Stansted. I’m looking for the most affordable option. I noticed that National Express offers coaches from King’s Cross St. Pancras (accessible by bus from Camden – there’s a 6:25 am bus that gets to Stansted by 8:20 am) and also from Stratford (which can be reached via the Overground). Are these services dependable, or would it be wiser to take the train instead?
Additionally, what time would you recommend arriving at the airport to ensure everything goes smoothly?
I’d appreciate any advice you can provide!
No question is silly, especially when it comes to travel! Given that you have a flight at 11:05am, it’s great that you’re thinking ahead.
Taking the National Express coach from King’s Cross St. Pancras is a good option, and it’s usually pretty reliable. However, keep in mind that with coaches, there can be factors like traffic that might delay your journey. The coach you mentioned that leaves Camden around 6:25am and arrives at Stansted at 08:20am should give you enough time, but I would recommend aiming to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight for check-in and security.
Alternatively, you could consider the train option. There are direct trains from Liverpool Street Station to Stansted Airport which take about 45 minutes. To get to Liverpool Street from Camden, you could take the Overground to either Highbury & Islington and switch to the Victoria Line or take a bus, which might be a bit less convenient but does connect.
If you choose the train, I’d suggest aiming to leave Camden around 6:00am to give yourself ample time for transport to the station and then a relaxed journey to the airport.
Overall, both options are viable, so it really comes down to your preference for comfort versus cost. Have a safe flight!
