Unfortunately, the fast train from King’s Cross to Newcastle won’t be available on my travel date due to scheduled engineering works. What would be the next fastest or easiest way for a tourist to get from London to Newcastle? I’d prefer to arrive as early as possible, and I’m not too concerned about the cost if it means saving a few hours.
