Leicester to Manchester and back

Round Trip from Leicester to Manchester

Hi everyone! I’ll be attending the Sabrina Carpenter concert in Manchester on the 14th, and since I’m not from the UK, I’m staying with a friend in Leicester for the week. I’m looking for the most budget-friendly way to travel to the concert and back to Leicester that same night (if that’s doable). Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  1. Hey! That sounds like a fun trip! Traveling from Leicester to Manchester for the concert is definitely doable in one night. Here are some affordable options:

    1. Train: The train is usually the fastest option. You can check train times and prices on websites like Trainline or National Rail. Look for off-peak tickets, as they are usually cheaper. Trains run frequently between Leicester and Manchester, and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

    2. Coach: Consider taking a coach if you’re looking for a cheaper option. National Express and Megabus operate services between Leicester and Manchester. The journey will take a bit longer (around 2-3 hours), but tickets can be very affordable if you book in advance.

3. Carpooling/Ride-sharing: Check platforms like BlaBlaCar for any ride-sharing options that might be going to Manchester around the time of the concert. This could be a cheaper and more social option.

    4. Plan Your Return: Make sure to check the return schedule for your chosen transport mode, as you’ll need to get back to Leicester after the concert. The last trains or coaches usually run until late, so you should be fine.

Make sure to book your tickets early to get the best deals! Enjoy the concert!
