Tavelling all over UK

Exploring the UK!
Hi everyone! We’ll be in Cambridge for two weeks on a business trip, and we have one week to explore. Our itinerary includes visits to Liverpool (to see Beatles sites), Glasgow, Belfast, and London, in that order. What’s the best way to travel between these cities? We’re considering taking a bus for Liverpool and Glasgow, and flying to Belfast. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

  1. That sounds like a fantastic itinerary! Here are a few suggestions for your travels:

    1. Cambridge to Liverpool: Taking a bus is a great option, as you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Companies like National Express and Megabus offer regular services, and it’s often more affordable than trains.

    2. Liverpool to Glasgow: Again, buses are a good choice, and the journey is manageable. If you’re looking for a slightly faster option, trains are also available and can get you there in about 3-4 hours, depending on the service.

    3. Glasgow to Belfast: Since you’re planning to fly, check out flights with budget airlines like Ryanair or Aer Lingus. Make sure to book in advance for the best deals!

    4. Belfast to London: Flights are definitely the quickest here, but you could also take a ferry to Liverpool and then a train to London if you want a different experience.

Additionally, consider getting an Oyster card for use on public transport in London for convenience. And since you’ll be visiting multiple cities, you might want to look into rail passes that offer good value for travel in the UK if you decide to use trains instead of buses for any leg of your trip.

Enjoy your sightseeing, and don’t forget to try local specialties in each city! Safe travels! 🌍✨
