Updated Scotland Itinerary Feedback – 2 weeks

Revised Scotland Itinerary Feedback – 2 Weeks
Hello, Everyone!
After some adjustments and discussions, I’ve revamped our Scotland itinerary and would love to get your thoughts.
To give you some background, we’re two travelers from Australia, planning to rent a car for our journey (excluding Edinburgh and Glasgow). We’ll be flying in and out of Edinburgh.
Here’s our tentative schedule:
- Edinburgh: 3 nights
- Cairngorms: 3 nights
- Skye: 3 nights
- Fort William: 1 night
- Oban: 2 nights
- Glasgow: 2 nights
Does this seem manageable and a good use of our time? Looking forward to your feedback!
Your updated itinerary looks great overall! Here’s some feedback on each leg of your trip:
Edinburgh (3 nights): Perfect amount of time to explore the city’s historic sites, like Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, as well as getting a feel for its vibrant atmosphere. Don’t forget to check out Arthur’s Seat for a great view!
Cairngorms (3 nights): This is a fantastic choice if you enjoy nature and the outdoors. The Cairngorms National Park offers stunning scenery and plenty of hiking opportunities. Just keep in mind some trails may be weather-restricted depending on the time of year.
Skye (3 nights): Three nights is ideal for Skye, as there’s so much to see and do! From the Fairy Pools to the Old Man of Storr, you’ll have ample time to soak in the breathtaking landscapes. Be mindful of the driving distances, especially if you want to explore the more remote areas.
Fort William (1 night): This works well as a stopover, especially if you’re planning to tackle Ben Nevis or check out the Nevis Gondola. Just make sure to plan your activities ahead, as one night doesn’t give you a lot of time.
Oban (2 nights): This is a lovely coastal town with great seafood and access to nearby islands. You could consider taking a day trip to Mull or Iona if you’re interested in island hopping.
Glasgow (2 nights): A good ending point to your trip! Glasgow has a vibrant cultural scene and plenty of museums. Just keep your itinerary flexible to make the most of your time there.
Overall, the driving distances are reasonable, but be sure to factor in time for sightseeing and rest along the way. If you move at a comfortable pace and keep an eye on local attractions that pique your interest, you should have a fantastic trip! Enjoy Scotland!
